Types of osteopathy
As osteopaths, we are trained in a wide variety of osteopathic techniques, ranging from subtle, almost imperceptible techniques (cranial osteopathy), to rhythmic and gentle techniques (visceral osteopathy), to stronger approaches such as the used of massage and joint manipulation (structural osteopathy). It is our aim to make every treatment the result of consultation between the practitioner's professional knowledge and the patient's needs and preferences. There are often a few different approaches that can be used to address a particular problem. A number of techniques may be integrated into one osteopathic session.
